It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hmmm... seems like theres a scalliwag aboard Deviant trying to trick you into giving him your account password, via this lil sneaky comment...

"Hey. I think i saw your picture on this website/blog here CLICK HERE"

Whereafter youd be taken to a page disguised as an official deviantART page, where youd be asked to enter your username and password... Now if you do enter those details its known to cause "your account to post replicas of the malicious post on the pages of other users."

Now deviant is aware of this, and heres what they have to say if you have been a victim:

"If you have already filled out the form, please change your password immediately.

We recommend that you do not click on these comments, and that you hide any you receive to prevent this from spreading.

IT is aware of the situation. We thank you for your vigilance and patience."

I clicked above and my antivirus announced that it had a virus and a spy in my Web page and my computer. But fortunately, it prevented and eliminated. But on the other hand, when I am in my page and I want to write a comment. It blocks. I have to extinguish my ordi. Maintaining the nightmare is finished and I changed the password.
