The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

As many of you know, I entered my very first T-shirt contest held by StartledCow, which ended up being a lot of fun! The response was really amazing, so thanks to everyone who supported me with all your votes and comments! As for what I'm busy with at the moment, the biggest project Im currently working on is for one of South Africa's top performing companies, Transman "Work  For Africa". What I've been asked to do is create a super hero team from across the universe by taking their top 13 employees (including the big boss) and turning them into super heroes. This is probably one of the most fun projects I've been put on, ever! So far I've completed 3 of them, and will only be able to unveil them publicly after the project have been finished. You'll finally be able to see a variation of not just woman, but men too!



This is to let everyone know that I'll be working on something quite out of the ordinary for me... Yes, A Mega Man submission for UDON's new fan art tribute contest! The deadline is coming up on the 31st of Jan '11, so if any of you are interested in entering, check out the guidelines here - [link] and get started! Its going to be awesome!



I'm currently busy on another big writing which offers further expanded view points on reality -  to help make more sense of this world, therefore giving you more control over your very experience. I just made a facebook page for my art as well. However it wont let me create a custom URL for the page. Did you have to wait a certain period of time before it allowed you to create a custom URL for your page?
